General Membership Questions

Is there an annual membership fee? 

Yes, there are annual dues for every category of membership. Please see benefits and dues associated with each type of membership.

When does my membership expire? Is my membership renewal due on the anniversary of my join date?

BDF memberships are active for twelve (12) months. For example, if your membership start date is January 1, 2023, then your membership is active through December 31, 2023. Your renewal payment is due by the last day of your current membership to enjoy continuous access to benefits.

Is my organization a member?

Individuals are the only members who receive benefits in BDF.

Is there a member directory?

Contact the BDF Executive Director for a copy of the member directory.

Professional Membership

Professional/Full Members have added leadership and participation benefits in addition to the benefits Associate Members receive.

Full Membership - $500

Associate Membership

The most popular membership for emerging and mid-career professionals. Gains access to many of the benefits BDF has to offer.

Associate Membership - $400

Affiliate Membership

Professionals who offer products or services to BDF members. To be eligible for Affiliate Membership, you must also be a bronze level sponsor.

Affiliate membership - $250

Student Membership

Student members are required to be enrolled in an academic or certificate program. To maintain status an active member, students are asked to volunteer at 2 events annually.

STudent membership - Free**

* BDF is an emerging nonprofit.  Community Housing Development Corporation (CHDC) serves as our fiscal sponsor.
**Student Members do not pay membership fees for their first year.
